It is a well known myth that somewhere in the central area of the Calliak Forest is the original home of the legendary Imperial hero, Ranthax Kershmede. The structure is said to have been built with the aid of Elves in a well hidden area of the woods. From time to time, stories arise of merchants seeing a great castle within a specific area of the Calliak Forest.

The castle is rumored to have a great mote surrounding it, and it's walls would be decorated by colorful banners representing the various royal families in the Imperial capital. A few authors of the time, including Sir Kershmede himself, describe it's 150 rooms as opulent and spacious.
