In the middle of the Calliak bay is Dergan's Isle, a tropical island of great natural beauty. Although it has not been officially explored, it is said to be the hideout of the West Sea's pirates. The pirates are well known to merchants who sail the western coasts, and although their small numbers have kept them from becoming a greater problem, they are nonetheless cruel and ruthless, usually sailing on faster ships than their prey.
