Pallassi

The Monarchy of Balton still has strong ties to the Empire of Catalania. It's capital, Pallassi, also known as the City of Thieves, is as exotic as it is ancient. Ruled by a Duke, this dark city is well known for it's uncontrollable crime, fine wines, and stone palaces. Stories of incredible assassin's guilds have been told for generations, but they have never been proven factual.

The Tower of the Mage of Pallassi / the Mage of Pallassi is a mysterious figure, and he is said to protect the city from bad luck and evil spirits. He is rarely seen, though, and his tower is devoid of any sign of being lived in. Stories of the Mage of Pallassi are told throughout the south of the continent, and he does actually appear from time to time, usually at official functions.

The Temple of Torla / Home to the second Messenger of Torla, this temple is an ancient, imposing structure. There was a time when corruption was not uncommon within it's walls, but the current Messenger to reside here, Kerenia, has been remarkably successful in establishing order among the clerics. She is known to be a very compassionate woman, and although she is quite young, she is respected and admired by her clerics.

The Colderich School / The Colderich Family have mastered the use of the Calay Bastard Sword for countless generations. The art is considered one of the most deadly styles of sword use, and the family will only teach ten students at one time. They are well known for following this policy very strictly.

Aternias Inn / Located a few blocks from the Royal Palace of Pallassi's Duke, Aternais Inn is an enormous building, with fifty spacious rooms for it's guests. The dining room serves Lebbrice and Cessirre Duck, and usually has a wide selection of local wines.

Clover's Tavern / The main meeting place of the Clinkered Clovers, an all Halfling thieves guild, is the Clover's Tavern. All through the night, it is a bustling, noisy, colorful place. Some have described it as "annoying".

The Eye of Rax Inn / This dark tavern is in the southern quarter of Pallassi, the most dangerous section of the city. It is considered such a dangerous place that the city guard will not even walk by the front of the establishment. It is said to be a quiet, and those who enter and are not welcome are rarely seen again.
