Plaintlan is a city with many hardships. The Lord of the city collects heavy taxes on the population, and his personal guard, which he uses for the protection of his estate, does not protect the city. Their own city guard has been disastrous, and ruffians and criminal bands are feared greatly. Plaintlan has been called the "city with no law." When the citizens do get their hands on a criminal, he is usually promptly executed.

Caravan Tavern / One of the most unlawful locations in Plaintlan is the Caravan Tavern. With about two deaths a week, and numerous brawls and duels, this tavern is avoided by city residents at all costs. Still, a good selection of ale and gambling activities has attracted exactly the type of individuals that aggravate the city's situation.
