The south western region is a lawless land. Cities like Destone and Plaintlan struggle to maintain order with their own jurisdiction, and have even greater problems with outside antagonists. This region was once under the control of the Kingdom of Freemen, and prejudice towards non-human races is still found in some towns.

Most of the south west is still unexplored, and merchants have tried to fund travel into the region for quite some time, mostly to expand their influence.
